Preserving Family Farms
Our company has seen a rise in interest in a planning area that is dear to the hearts of many: Preserving Family Farms. The founding member of the company, Andrew C. Sigerson, is from Nebraska, and the company has assisted dozens of farm families.
Estate planning must be adapted to fit specific family situations, and we've found that keeping a farm in the family requires unique, targetted strategies. You can't follow the same simplistic approach as someone who has just "cash investments" to pass on.
There are great reasons for preserving and passing on the family farms in communities like ours, along with unusual challenges. Farm life is unique, and carries certain values that city folks just can't understand. But it's also tough to give the farm to a child who will keep operating it, while treating the other children fairly.
Our unique approach to farm transfer planning is designed precisely to make that happen.

A related organization we've worked with, called Preserving Rural America, has adopted a theme song called "In My Blood" ... written and performed by Rodney Clawson, who also wrote such popular Country hits as "Sweet Southern Comfort." In My Blood can be heard on Rodney's website: www.rodneyclawson.com
